How long a pair takes
Nearly everything is made to order, by hand, in George. Allow 15 working days from the day you order. If your size happens to be on the shelf it goes out within 1 to 3 working days. The courier's time is on top of that.
In a hurry? A rush order moves you to the front of the queue and guarantees delivery to a major centre within 8 working days. Add the Rush Order Service to your basket.
Delivery in South Africa
Orders go out from George with Aramex. Allow 2 to 4 working days once your order has shipped. Delivery is R120, and free on orders over R2 500.
We need a street address — a courier cannot deliver to a PO Box.
Farms and outlying areas are delivered to the nearest PostNet branch for collection, and take two to three days longer.
Collecting from a shop
Choose Collect from a shop at checkout and there is nothing to pay for delivery. We will email you as soon as your pair is ready.

International orders
We ship worldwide. The cost depends on the country and the parcel, so it is calculated at checkout once you have put in your address — you see the amount before you pay.
Please give us your ID or passport number when you order — customs will ask for it. Allow 10 to 14 working days once the parcel has shipped. You get a tracking number the day it goes.
Customs and import duties. Prices on this site are in South African Rand and the delivery cost does not include any customs duty, tax or handling fee charged by the country the parcel arrives in. Those are paid by whoever receives it.
Returns and exchanges
Every pair is checked before it is packed. Because each one is handmade, small differences in colour and grain are the character of real leather rather than a fault, and are not grounds for a return.
If the size is wrong, we will exchange it. Tell us within 30 days of buying. The shoes must be unworn, in the condition you got them and in their original packaging. Courier costs for an exchange are the customer's. Once your pair reaches us and has been looked at we will email you, and send the new size within 1 to 3 working days if it is in stock, or 15 working days if it has to be made.
